Note Concerning this day in 2023. In the General Calendar the Epiphany is celebrated on January 6, however, in the USA and some other countries it is celebrated on the Sunday following January 1. In 2023 it will be celebrated on Sunday, January 8. The Baptism of the Lord is celebrated on the first Sunday after January 6, however, because this is superseded by the Epiphany this year, the Baptism of the Lord will be celebrated on Monday January 9.
